Once Upon A Tangram
Once Upon A Tangram introduces the children to a fun and exciting world of imagination and creation through tangrams. The children use the tangrams to create shapes of the characters for story-telling. Your child will have hands-on fun with this ancient Chinese puzzle from the Tanka People.
The tangram is not just a square made up of 7 pieces: 2 big triangles, 1 medium size triangle, 2 small triangles, 1 square and 1 parallelogram. Through patterning, one-to-one correspondence, matching, making predictions through trial and error, identifying, comparing and creating, your child will develop an intuitive familiarity with the characteristics of the shapes.
The children will discover the world of possibilities with tangrams. He will make shapes such as the human form in various postures, animals, everyday objects, numbers, letters and much more. He will create his own tangram puppets, and make history by creating his very own tangram story. He will present using a mobile theatre.
